We have been developing spark plugs design within 4 years. Some technical solutions have been manufactured, implemented and tested on the automobiles, motorbikes, scooters and have been acute treated on the stand testing.
Outcomes of tests have been allowed to develop spark plugs in future. Influence of flame center parameters on the process of fuel-air mixture combustion in the internal combustion engine cylinder has been identified and proved. Besides, electrodes design of spark plugs has been impacting on the flame center parameters.
Currently, 30 designs of spark plugs have been developed. The Ukrainian patent application № u 2010 07968 has been submitted. Proposed designs of spark plugs have been guaranteed exception of detonation combustion of fuel-air mixture on the low octane gasoline in follow parameters, elevated engine temperature, high compression, high boost pressure or high engine load at the optimum angle of ignition advance.
The offset hole and occurrence of a spark in the section is peculiarity of the spark plug. The design of spark plug electrodes has been guaranteed maximum reduction of the fuel-air mixture intensity of detonation combustion among known designs of spark plugs. The stand tests of Ricardo method have been confirmed this hypothesis.
